Building of this old castle is founded on 1250 Solar Hijrah. In old times, castles were strong and resistant forts against governmental forces; and this castle has experienced bad times at the age of Ghavom-o-saltaneh, ruler of Fars, with his troop's attacks; and now clayish walls of the castle are iterating their un-told memories, mud-brick by mud-brick, in their mute language
Constructed area of the castle is 1600 m2. While constructing the castle, a fortification of mud-brick was surrounding the castle. The four towers and ramparts as well as a moat dug around it had defensive roles. During ages, the moat and wall around the castle were destroyed as the result of expansion of Kerishki. Impregnable fortifications, semi-circled battlements, and four sky-scratching towers & ramparts are among particulars of the building. There are 4 watch towers the height of each is 12 meters, and each tower has its own sub-tower. The width of each tower reaches 16 mud-bricks, and those of the 4 walls, which connect around the towers, reach 8 mud-bricks
Watch towers, sub-towers, castle fortifications and ramparts, stable, forage store, and the rooms whose ceiling is the body of palm trees, are other things worth seeing in this ancient castle |
